Sundance Film Festival 1985 poster. This poster was created before the use of the name "Sundance Film Festival" was official. 25 1/2" wide by 22" tall.

Now under the administration of Sundance Institute, The United States Film Festival presented over 80 feature-length films this year, including: Stranger than ParadiseThe Falcon and the SnowmanMrs. SoffelBefore Stonewall: The Making of a Gay and Lesbian CommunityThe Killing FloorBlood SimpleThe Times of Harvey MilkThe Brother from Another PlanetThe Killing Fields, and Where the Green Ants Dream. The Festival also spotlighted the work of Christopher Petit (An Unsuitable Job for a WomanFlight to Berlin),Francois Truffaut (The 400 BlowsDay for Night), Ivan Passer (Intimate LightingCutter's Way) and the students of Roger Corman. There was an emphasis on international film, with screenings of seven new Australian works alone.
